Join Lauren of White Deer Apothecary and Jesselyn of Thrown Studio for a deep dive into Chai along with some fun in the clay! We'll be crafting handmade jars and spoons in this workshop while learning about Chai’s roots and benefits. As we work, we will also get to taste a few different blends (both caffeinated and non-caffeinated). You'll then be able to mix up your own custom Chai tea blend to store in your beautiful new clay vessel and enjoy at home.
(Chai is usually served with milk- we are planning to prepare samples with macadamia milk. Please let us know when you sign up if you have a nut allergy and we'll accommodate)
***Please plan to arrive 15 mins early. Workshop may finish before or after 2pm, so please allow yourself some time if needed.
***Ceramics will be fired within 30 days of the workshop, and will be available for pick-up 30 days after firing.
***Chai blends will be taken home immediately.
Lauren Peterson began her herbal studies with Sacred Journey School of Herbalism in Austin in 2014 and fell so deeply in love with the plants that she never left! She now helps run the school and has been teaching with founder Ginger Webb since 2017. She founded her own herbal business, White Deer Apothecary, in 2015 and makes small batch herbal medicines, private label herbal products, offers plant walks & classes, and sees clients for herbal consultations. Lauren's passion for plants grew from her desire to deepen her connection with the natural world and nurture relationships that allow healing to take place. Her favorite places to be are outdoors, in the kitchen, and on the dance floor.
