A beginner friendly hand-building class covering fundamental skills and techniques such as pinch pots, coil building, and slab construction. The focus is on creating fun, artistic, and utilitarian forms, along with surface techniques for unique decorative elements. Participants will use mid-fire clay and glazes.

This class is perfect for beginners looking to explore the world of hand-building in a creative and supportive environment. Whether you're interested in creating functional pottery or unique pieces, this workshop will provide you with all the clay, tools, skills and inspiration you need to bring your ideas to life!

A’Isha Walker is a multidisciplinary artist most interested in ceramics. She draws inspiration from her childhood experiences. A’Isha aims to continue exploring different mediums and techniques to further develop her unique artistic voice. She’s lived across the world, but calls Guam, USA her home. She received a Bachelor in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Ceramics from The University of Texas at San Antonio School of Art. A'Isha hopes to expand her artistic horizons and experiment with new forms of expression. She aspires to showcase her work in galleries and exhibitions to share her experiences and creative vision with a wider audience. She plans to pursue a Master's degree in Fine Arts to continue honing her craft. Ultimately, she hopes to use her art as a platform for social change and advocacy.
