Leila Teniente is an artist born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley and has recently moved to San Antonio. She first found her love for ceramics by taking a throwing course in June of 2025 and the clay bug hasn’t left since! She loves incorporating both throwing and hand-building techniques her pieces as she feels the creation should be just as malleable as the clay. Her sculptural pieces draw inspiration from experiences as a musician, love of nature, organic impressions, and vulnerable conversation. While her functional pieces are made with the thought of the comfort, movement, and sometimes the anatomy of the user. She loves to learn and experiment with new techniques and looks forward to combining the sculptural and functional qualities in her future pieces.
