Bad Seeds
Art has always been a part of who I am, it’s a way to process my emotions while documenting them at the same time. Clay is the perfect medium for this as it acts as a time capsule- every fingerprint, movement, and emotion is imprinted into each piece.
The name for this work came during the installation of my solo show “Bloomed Before Me” at Un Grito. Being a show mostly exhibiting white clay and flowers, these were the only dark colors in the space. Hence their title “Bad Seeds.” They embody what was being felt while making them, capturing dead energy and allowing space for bigger and better things.
